You ask what is double glazing. Double glazing in principle is 2 sheets of glass with a airspace of between 5 to 20mm. This type of double glazing is used mainly for insulation and some noise reduction. It is known as a double glazed window.
Then the other type of double glazing is called Secondary glazing which is retrofitted to your existing windows. The Stop Noise secondary glazing system is like a second sliding window which is fitted to your window creating a large air gap of between 70- to 100mm. This large airspace is excellent for reducing noise by as much as 70% compared to normal double glazing which will only give you about a 20% reduction.
The secondary window system will reduce your heating & cooling cost and will save you a lot of money over the years. If you decide to have a quotation for the Stop Noise secondary system we will show you our noise test reports and WERS insulation ratings.
